The author’s explanations are concise for everyone’s understanding. The parks discussed include Death Valley, Joshua Tree, Sequoia & Kings, and the Channel Islands; all in California, among many others. It’s great because the author has gone to all 59 parks at least once! (And some, he’s been to several times!) He does a fantastic job listing important details like camping fees, weather, wildlife to see, what time of year to visit, and many other tips. Reading this has definitely made me want to plan a trip to one of the national parks soon!

This book is very interesting. It gives a lot of great hiking and camping places in California, Nevada, Arizona and other places. I also like the in depth sections of the National Parks. I highly recommend this read to everyone looking to go camping or hiking.
